A session holds up to 50 participants, online or in a room with a trained facilitator.[^1] Proposals are traded off in structured give-and-take rounds, and the agreed plan is exported as reports and spatial data.[^1]

The company aims it at property developers, community groups, local authorities and planners, especially on contested sites where competing interests have stalled.[^1] The uses it lists are urban and regional planning, inter-agency coordination, public engagement, post-disaster rehabilitation, infrastructure investment, tourism, climate adaptation, environmental management and heritage protection.[^1]

A typical engagement takes a month or two: data preparation with geo-surveys, a one-hour introduction, a two-hour negotiation meeting, then reports and financial analysis.[^2]

Geodesignhub is commercial. Each event is priced by the expected number of participants and paid as a single up-front fee, though eligible public-service and humanitarian projects get discounts of up to 80 percent or free access for up to a year.[^2] The software imports existing GIS data, has an API, and exports to GeoPackage or GeoJSON at any time.[^1,2] A free online course teaches geodesign, the planning method the software follows.[^1]
