IES (Integrated Environmental Solutions Limited, Glasgow) makes building-performance simulation software. Its digital twin offer joins physics-based simulation with measured data from building management systems, utility bills, IoT sensors and meters, in a model that scales from one building to a campus, portfolio or city, to answer questions about energy, carbon, cost and comfort across design, retrofit, commissioning and operation.

Cases named on the page: a live twin of Pollok Country Park in Glasgow mapping where energy is used and generated across the estate; the NTU EcoCampus in Singapore; the Irish Life property portfolio in Dublin, where existing compliance models were revived into net-zero roadmaps; three social housing blocks for Dublin City Council, comparing the whole-life carbon of four retrofit strategies against 2030 and 2050 targets; the Riverside Museum in Glasgow; the University of Glasgow campus; Stirling Council's building portfolio; and a model of the whole city of Bertam in Penang.

Commercial. The tools can be used together or alone: VE for design and retrofit analysis, IES Live for operational energy and carbon, iCD for energy analysis across portfolios, campuses and cities (also as a SketchUp plugin), iSCAN for in-use building data, iVN for district heating, local energy networks and renewables, and Sync for Revit. A free trial and demo are offered; prices are not on the page. IES also sells consultancy on the same work.

Operational; the current VE release is labelled 2026.
