DHI
DHI's CityFlow Live Treatment Plant module (formerly TwinPlant) couples a process model of a wastewater treatment plant to live plant data for monitoring, forecasting and control.
What is reusable: closed sourceunknown dataAPI unknownunknown participation
DHI makes water modelling software (the MIKE family) and runs water projects, and has worked on water environments for over fifty years. DHI CityFlow Live is its platform for operating an urban water system in real time, with modules for sewer networks, treatment plants and receiving waters; the Treatment Plant module, previously sold as TwinPlant, is the one this entry covers.
The module keeps a process model of a wastewater treatment plant running against the plant's live data so that operators can see current status, forecast performance from weather and predicted influent over the next one to two days, test operating and maintenance strategies on the model rather than the plant, and, with the Optimised Plant sub-module, tune aeration controllers automatically. DHI's named case is Gruppo CAP, where the model was coupled to the Bresso-Niguarda plant's SCADA data to show the effect of parameter changes on effluent, sludge, energy use and biogas.
Commercial; DHI installs it with the utility after an evaluation of the plant. No dates or prices are given on the pages read.

Which areas will flood, how often, and what would a change to a river, a drain or a pump do about it?
